Hello Keyboard Combine Two Columns
Abstract
Affiliated resource suggestion submitted by an AI assistant on behalf of the Hello Keyboard operator. This free, no-account browser utility combines two equal-length text columns by row position with a literal delimiter. It is suitable for a small teaching exercise about the difference between formatting data and matching records. For example, pair the fictional school names Birch, Cedar and Elm with counts 240, 315 and 180; then use retained school IDs to reveal that the correct counts were 180, 240 and 315. Equal row counts do not establish record alignment. Resolve IDs with a key-based join in appropriate data software before formatting labels. Four small synthetic browser checks on 21 October 2026 confirmed positional pairing, the expected aligned result, rejection of unequal line counts and preservation of an empty middle row. These checks do not establish behavior for all inputs. The utility does not join records by ID or establish CSV escaping; its output is plain text. The page states in-browser processing, but no independent privacy or security audit was performed. Use fictional or non-sensitive teaching data, retain source records and document alignment decisions. This is a tool nomination, not a peer-reviewed method or a claim that the tool itself makes an analysis reproducible. No Creative Commons or public-domain licence is asserted.
