البحث النَّوعي [Qualitative research]
تعريف: البحث الذي يستخدم بيانات غير رقميَّة، مثل الإجابات النَّصيَة، أو الصُّور، أو مقاطع الفيديو وما شابه، لاستكشاف المفاهيم، أو النَّظريَّات، أو التَّجارب بعمق. هناك مجموعة واسعة من الأساليب النَّوعيَّة بدءًا من الاستكشاف التَّفصيلي الدَّقيق للغة، أو التَّركيز على التَّجارب الشَّخصيَّة إلى تلك التي تستكشف التَّجارب، والآراء الاجتماعيَّة على المستوى الأكبر. المصطلحات ذات الصِّلة: تأطير المقابلات؛ الموضعيَّة؛ البحث الكمي؛ الانعكاسيَّة تعريف بديل: (إن وُجِد) في علم النَّفس، عادةً ما تهتم نظرية المعرفة للبحث النوعي بفهم وجهات نظر النَّاس. تقترح نظريَّة المعرفة هذه افتراض المساواة بين الباحثين، والمشاركين كبشر، وبالتَّالي الحاجة إلى فهم إنساني متعاطف بدلًا من الاستنتاجات المستندة إلى البيانات.
