MAKING REPLICATIONS COUNT

A UKRI-funded project to increase the visiblity of replication attempts.

WHAT IS THE PROJECT GOAL?

Replications are the foundation of a healthy science. With our projects, we try to increase the visibility of replications and investigate the conditions under which conditions they go unnoticed.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Spring Hackathon — May 4-6, 2026 in Münster, Germany

Join us to develop tools that increase the visibility of replication studies! Teams will work on automated data extraction, browser plug-ins, and interactive dashboards.

Open to anyone interested in making replications count — whether you bring coding skills, domain expertise, or fresh ideas. Travel grants available.

Registration deadline: March 16th

PROJECTS

Studies

  • Bibliometric Study: How do failed replications affect the reception of the original studies?

  • Preprint Notifications: Are notifications about replications helpful for researchers?

  • Mixed-Methods Study: How do researchers decide which studies to read and cite?

Tools

  • Zotero Plug-In: Automatically add replications to your Zotero library based on the original studies that you have and link them.

  • Browser Extension: Get notified about replications while browsing.

  • Replication Citation Dashboard: Explore citation patterns of replications.
