Scientific Justification

The article presents a robust phenomenon called "judgment creep" across many different contexts (color, justice). Replications with new data (ideally in laboratory settings) could corroborate the robustness. Judgment creep has a high societal relevance because, for example, it is part of ongoing political discussions.

I successfully reproduced study 1, which was very easy thanks to the thorough documentation of the authors. A student that I supervised failed to replicate Study 1 with online participants and I am now seeking partners who join us in doing further replications.
