High-demand participants recalled an average of 54.3% {SD = 12.2) of the words, substantially fewer words than the 69.8% (SD = 11.4) recalled by low-demand participants, f(36) = 4.06, p < .001, ci = 1.35, replicating the Schmeichel (2007) finding.
