Replications
- Having less, giving more? Two preregistered replications of the relationship between social class and prosocial behavior, Stamos et al. (2020). Journal of Research in Personality. Outcome recorded: failed.
In two high-powered and preregistered replication studies, we did not find evidence in support of the relationship between social class and prosocial behavior reported by Piff et al. (2010). In our first study, we closely mimicked the procedure of Piff et al.'s Study 1 by measuring SES and dictator game performance in Californian university students. The study revealed a non-significant correlation between SES and dictator game performance.
