Replications
- Failure to replicate the benefit of approximate arithmetic training for symbolic arithmetic fluency in adults, Szkudlarek et al. (2021). Cognition. Outcome recorded: failed.
The original goal of the current study was to replicate the finding that non-symbolic approximate arithmetic training improves symbolic arithmetic fluency, and to build on this finding by probing the mechanism of the transfer effect. However, we were unable to replicate the original finding across four independent experiments.
